Who are we ?
UK Friends of TARA (UKFT) is a charitable trust created to strengthen support for TARA’s mission of protection, education, and empowerment. TARA is a registered Trust working for the protection, care, and empowerment of vulnerable children in India for the past 16 years. Based in South Delhi, India we are a small yet deeply impactful organisation, recognised for the quality of our work and our unwavering commitment to children's rights.
In partnership with TARA, UKFT raises funds across the UK to directly benefit children in India.
Our programmes:
1. Family-Based Programmes: Supporting vulnerable children through close work with families to ensure access to education and strengthen their independence.
2. Residential Care: Residential homes for children without family support, placed by court order.
3. Capacity Building : Training for young adults and professionals in education and child protection.
